Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Smooth Sailing Online Support TV. I’m your host and captain, Lyndsay Philips, steering you through the choppy waters of fast-paced business growth.
Consistent Social Media Tips
One of my favorite topics to talk about is being productive and productivity. I’m always looking for new ways to increase it, get more done, and be more successful quicker. Now I do have a free report that is “8 Ways of Being More Productive.” I’ll share that with you in a little bit.
One of the things that I do talk about in the report is creating a social media content strategy and template. I do create them for my clients. Everyone is a little bit different on what they require and what their needs are. I’m going to show that to you now and explain it so that maybe you can create one yourself. I’m going to share my screen here.
I mapped out a couple of weeks. I’ve mapped out, here, a couple of posts per day. I’ve also mapped out the type of content that I’m going to share. One is going to be a promo of services, or products. The other one is going to be an outside, an article. Basically a blog, a video, something that somebody else has done that I find informative that I want to share. A stand alone tip that’s in my field.
Something fun, a video or picture from a business, news that’s from me and my business. Again, stand alone tip, you could have it be a blog that you promote – your video, your podcast, whatever it is you want to space it out on your template so that you know exactly when you’re posting what. Then it becomes a no-brainer and you don’t have to think about it when you have this template.
Schedule some time on your calendar once or twice a month to plug the information in there so you know that once a week you need to promote your services. In a batch task, right? I’m going to figure out what products and services I want to promote, type in the text right here, the link that I need, do that however many times. That part is done.
I go to my Get Pocket, I save a lot of great content, great blogs and articles that I’ve found that I would love to share with everybody else. I go in there and find ones that I love. Boom! Plug those in. If I have stand alone tips from the blogs that I’ve written, I just pull out from that blog, slot it in here, and I’m done. Then I just have to schedule another time on my calendar to do the graphics and also pre-schedule it. Of course you could outsource the scheduling. You could outsource the graphics. You could outsource this whole kit and kaboodle, quite frankly. Of course, you could ask me at Smooth Business Growth.
The point here is that if you have a template, you schedule it in your calendar, it’s plug and play, put it in. That way you’re going to be so much more consistent with your content and you’re going to cover all of your bases. If you do want my free report, I kind of delve into that a little bit more and share some other great tips, it is SmoothBusinessGrowth.com.
That is it for today’s episode of Smooth Sailing TV. Again, go to SmoothBusinessGrowth.com for more of my videos, my blogs, and my podcast. If you do need help putting your social media together, whether it’s content creation, pre-scheduling, whatever it may be, reach out to me at SmoothBusinessGrowth.com.
Have a profitable and productive week and may the winds always be at your back!
