Hey everyone. Welcome to another episode of Smooth Sailing Online Support TV. I’m you’re host and captain Lyndsay Phillips, steering you through the choppy waters of fast-paced business growth.

Today I want to talk to you about how to use testimonials

Of course to ask for them all the time. Don’t be afraid to ask, and any ones that you do get, save them. You do want to toot your own horn. You do want to show everyone how wonderful you are, how skilled you are, and how much your clients love you.

Spread the word, don’t be afraid to do so. Today on this video, I’m going to show you a few ways that can be done. I’m going to share my screen here for a minute.

First I want to show you that you can do text graphics. Here’s an example of one of my clients. It matches his branding, so it was just kind of funky and edgy. You can simply do a text graphic.

The other thing you can do is, you can go to Canva, and you can create a grid. I’ve done this one for a lot of different clients to match their branding. This one I just kind of did quickly up in the past 5 minutes for me, with one of my clients, his text, and then of course your branding there, just a really neat way of doing it.

Creative Ways To Show Off and How To Use Testimonials

Of course with the grids for Canva, you can see all these different ones, so you can even do, if it’s a short quote, a picture there. I don’t know if you can see the hand here. The 4 grids, you can have a couple pictures at once. You can be really creative with it and just make it really funky.

Of course, always put your testimonials on your website, whether it’s text, a picture of the person, the company, their link to their website so that they can kind of see what they’re all about. You can do a whole entire brochure with written success stories, like a spotlight to their clients.

I put this together for one of my clients, their success stories, and then there’s kind of shorter quotes underneath it, but it’s this beautiful brochure that can be printed, it can be sent as a PDF attachment for prospects. We actually used it for both scenarios. We used it as a PDF, but we also used it as a print document to send with a direct mail campaign.

I also really love testimonial videos, if you can get them. If you do any live events, definitely get them while you’re there from your clients, from the event attendees, and so forth. This has a really cool intro I’m going to show you here. Then we just did a simple text with whoever it was. And then the testimonial.

Notice, because they have an event, there’s a awesome banner at the back? Then there’s also text as to what the question was that was asked. These are really, really well-done video testimonials that have gotten great impact. The point here is, don’t be afraid to toot your own horn, to share what everyone says and loves about you, and just find some different and creative ways to share those testimonials.

That’s it for this episode on how to use testimonials. We’ll see you next week on Smooth Sailing: Online Support TV. You can find me at smoothbusinessgrowth.com, and of course this video, my podcast, my blogs at lyndsayphillips.com.

Have a great week guys, and may the winds always be at your back.
