Hi everyone. Welcome to Smooth Sailing Online Support TV. I’m your host and captain Lyndsay Phillips, steering you through the choppy waters of fast-paced business growth. So if you already watched last week’s episode, I covered how to set up a profile page for Twitter. So I thought on this week’s episode I would cover some extra tips on posting and following and having people follow you.
One thing you do want to be aware of is how many people you follow, versus how many people are following you. I mean, it is great to get out there and connect with people and other businesses that you think are going to be aligned with your business, but also just that you enjoy their tweets and what they have to say in their content. People that are, you know, in your business, whether it’s prospects, but even peers, leaders, thought leaders in your area, people that you look up to, or organizations.
Just a couple little extra ideas on there on who to follow, however, let’s say you have I don’t know, 600 people that are following you but you have like 1,200 people you’re following. You kind of want to keep the ratio closer together, so I usually tend to keep it like within a hundred mark, so if 600 people are following you, maybe you’re following 650 to 700 because otherwise it looks like you are randomly out there following people just for the sake of following them instead of making real connections, real engagements with people.
That is my tip for the week, so thank you for another great episode and if you are in the choppy waters of fast-paced business growth, definitely reach out to me and my amazing team at Smooth Sailing Online Support.
