How to Repurpose Content to Leverage It More Effectively

It makes things so much easier and efficient and saves you tons of time so you’re not racking your head on what content to use. It also allows you to push out more content so that you stay consistent and serve your customers and your prospects and everyone out there, your audience. What I’ve done is I’m working with a template with a couple of clients and they either start off with the video or they start off with the blog. I like to start off with the blog. You have a blog and then that way you can re-purpose it in multiple ways.

You can get the gist of the five points that you cover in the blog and quickly spread out and do a video.

You could also, once you have that video, extract the audio and it can be a podcast episode, depending of course on how long it is, for those that do podcasts that are just them talking vs the interview style. That’s just another way you can re-purpose.

Some of my clients have been creating infographics. Let’s say your blog is “The Top Seven Reasons To Do (Something)”, I can’t think of anything right now. Whatever those points are, you can create an infographic for it, especially if you have a great graphic designer on your team.

You could also create a slide share with those points (just another way to deliver the same content).

You can also extract those points from your blog and create stand alone social media posts. Yes, you’re going to promote your blog through social media platforms, but you also want to have some stand alone tips or statements or quotes that are just that one statement that you can create text graphics with them.

You can even build a template laying this whole process out. You’re going to start with the blog. What are the points that you’re going to build on to the video? Maybe you want to extract it to your podcast and maybe you’re going to pull pieces for an infographic, a slide share, and your social media posts.

Just a quick and easy run down of how you can repurpose content like a blog post and push out tons of content. Everyone learns a little bit differently, right? Some people watch videos. Some people listen to podcasts, they like to listen. Some people just want to see a quick image through Facebook or whatever it may be. Everyone absorbs information and content differently and you want to cover your bases to get more engagement and grow your community so repurpose content and get it in front of as many people as you can.
