REV transcriptions work best for videos.
Hey everyone, it’s Lyndsay with Smooth Sailing Business Growth. I have to do a screencast today for one of my team members, so I thought I would show you guys how to do this as well because I figured if it’s useful for one it’ll be useful for you.
I’m sharing my screen and I’m just going to grab my link to one of my videos.
Rev is a tool that I use to get transcripts for videos and web pages. It’s super easy to use. It’s $1 per minute, if it’s under 25 minutes or 30 minutes and you get a same day turn around. It’s crazy. Once you’ve logged in you simply create another order, you can either upload a file directly or you can paste a URL. Just paste the URL right in there, hit add, say you’re finished. It’ll show you the order right here. If you want you can order extra time stamping, include filler words and so on. There’s a couple of different options.
I always recommend, instead of a reference number, I put in the title of the video. I just find that helpful for me and then you check out. Done. Then, you get an email confirming that you filled in the order. Now, you will, of course, get an email to say that the order is completed, however, you can also login, look at your order history and then go right here. Then you can just simply download. Let’s see if I downloaded one already just so I can show you what it looks like when it comes up. Nope, it won’t download while I’m doing a video. Anyways, it’s just simply a Word document with all the transcripts. It’s really easy, just copy and paste it into your website.
It’s a super easy process. I highly recommend Rev. I have nothing bad to say about them. Go get your transcripts for your videos, add them to your website. Sometimes it’s great too if you have a training call with someone or a meeting, sometimes it’s handy to get that transcribed to kind of read it later. I know, for me, I’m better at reading things than I am hearing it or watching and listening. Again, just a really useful tool.
