Hi everyone. Welcome to another episode of Smooth Sailing Online Support TV. I’m your host and captain, Lyndsay Phillips, steering you through the choppy waters of fast paced business growth. Today I’m joined by my little helper and my daughter Emily. Say hi.
Lyndsay: I’ve got a couple questions for you Emily, because today I want to talk about videos. Would you rather get a letter from me, would you rather listen to my voice, or would you rather see a video of me?
Emily: See a video of you.
Lyndsay: Why is that?
Emily: Because then I can see your face and you’re pretty …
Lyndsay: You’re so sweet. I didn’t tell her to say that.
Emily: … and because I love you.
Lyndsay: Ah, that’s nice. Much like children, that’s like the base instinct. Right? They want to see your face. They want to see your personality and your facial reactions, as apposed to just seeing the written letter, the written word, or just listening to your voice.
Today I want to talk about the importance of video marketing. Just like kids want to see their mommy’s faces on videos, right Emily?, people want to see peoples faces in business. Video marketing is key and actually I’ve got a couple of cool stats here. Mobile video views have gone up 844% since 2014. That’s crazy. Only between April ’15, and November 2015 did you know Emily that four billion, actually it moved from four billion to eight billion views. People watch videos on Facebook. Eight billion. That’s crazy.
As you can see everyone’s watching videos. People want to connect with you. They want to see what your personality is like. Videos are great in your business for showing how to’s, explaining things better, give people behind the scenes tours of things. People love sneak peeks of what’s going on behind closed doors right? There’s such a great way to communicate to people. People are more likely to click on images and videos than they are just text.
If you want to get your message out, and your branding out, and let people know about your products, your services, and definitely show off your expertise, video marketing is the way to go.
That’s another great episode of Smooth Sailing Online Support TV. Thank you Emily for being on this episode with me.
Emily: You’re welcome.
Lyndsay: Are you going to be on some more? Maybe?
That’s it for today, so I hope you have a productive and profitable week, and may the winds always be at your back.
